Forums Help Needed

I have been using SMF forums integrated with my dolphin site but have been considering making things simple and switching over to the orca forums. But here is my questions...Hope someone is familiar with them

1). If there a way to have a tab in nav bar to one group of forums and another tab to another group of forums instead of just one "Forums" tab that is default?

2). I have one group of forums that all members can go too that is fine. But I have another group of forums that somehow they need to apply for and I am notified they applied somehow and then after I approve then they can access the forum....How could I set this up?

You can create a 'group' then giove that group the permissions you want. Each group has it's own Orca forum and this is one way to get around the limitations in the Fish Forum.

I agree with SkyForum.  I also found that the default Orca setup does not provide setup tools to create and manage a private forum for a select group of members.  The best workaround I could find was to use a Groups module (I use Ultimate Groups) I've create several member-groups... each with its own private Orca forum.  Access to the Group's pages/forum can be 'open' to all members or 'private'  for group-members only.  

Only thing I see so far is I really dont want members of my site to have ability to create groups. I want only the groups created by me site admin. Dont know if thats possible but I will look into both suggestions provided so far
