Getting errors when trying to open Forum

I do realize this has something to do with folders/files missing.  My problem is, I don't know how to get these files and folders installed and I have tried downloading the source files and dont see if there, but if I use the default template all works well. I have also uninstalled/installed the forum several times to no avail.

can anyone help me with this?

Warning: require_once(/home/mydomain/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/classes/en/ThingPage.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mydomain/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/index.php on line 57

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/mydomain/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/classes/en/ThingPage.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mydomain/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/index.php on line 57

I used a website host that Boonex recommeds, and installed Dolphin from the cpanel.  I am using a aftermarket theme, and have emailed the theme developer but have gotten no response.

Thank you in advance for your help.

double check that: /home/mydomain/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/classes/en/ThingPage.php exists and has correct permissions

always look for: Failed opening required ..then read the file it wants

If you are only getting the error when using a custom template but not the default UNI template, then try the following:

- Navigate via FTP or cPanel to /modules/boonex/forum/layout/ You should see a uni and uni_en folder there. Make a copy of the uni folder and name it the same name as your current template (ex. skin002). From Admin Panel, click Modules>Orca Forum and then click the Compile Language:en located in the top right of the forum box.

- You may need to copy the BxTemplIndexPageView.php from the /templates/tmpl_uni/scripts directory and add it to your /templates/tmpl_???/scripts directory.

OK, did exactly as you suggested Zarcon, now the forum loads, but when I go to the FORUM and click on the right side "Compile Lang EN" I get the attached message.

Language file compilation has been failed. Please check folder permissions.

What folders should I check and what permissions should I make them?

Thanks again for all of your help.

The folder that you copied and renamed to your template name should be set to 755. It should create an _en folder that has 777 permissions once the language has been compiled.

Example:

mytemplate = 755

mytemplate_en = 777

Since I cannot compile the language, I suppose that is why I do not have the skin001_en folder.  How do I go about getting that?

I would also suppose that would be the cause of the errors I am getting when trying to create or delete new groups in the Forum?

The template folder skin001 is set to 755 already.

Im not saying this is the proper way to do it, but you could try to make a copy of the uni_en folder and rename it to skin001_en, set it to 777 and see if that works. Also, make sure you are clearing your /cache (except the .htaccess file) and the /cache_public directories when making changes.

Switch the template to UNI and the access the Orca forum through Admin Panel and try to compile the language then. If it works then there should be a uni_en folder after you do that..

Also check to make sure your /langs directory is set to 777 also. Might wanna check that first.

lang directory was set to 777. so I switched back to the default template and went to try and compile lang en link of the forum homepage and it stats it has been failed.
