Gif images

Why i can add gif image in avatar? No animations? Any idea? In site avatars they look with animation, bet when i choose it - avatar error....i add big gif. ( animated ) in photo album but photo shown without animation....

The way that Boonex handles image uploads is to transform everything into a .jpg and make about 4 copies of it for use in various spots. The justification that I've heard for this is that they just have to do it in order to have thumbnail versions of the images. No idea why this is so b/c I've seen animated gifs & thumbnail animated gifs on other sites for years now. Hopefully they'll address this at some point, because whether or not designers like animated images - members of my site LOVE them and often lament that they "break" when used on my site.
