Gmail recently updated their spam protection which is all automated.
All my Dolphin sites have been blocked, my IP was blocked, which was then changed and cleared.
It then took a single email from a new IP and gmail blocked it again.
Seems that any emails you send out to gmail addresses will no longer get through...
Anyone else noticed this?
Means an upgrade to external SMTP service which unfortunately will be another bill to pay out,
could also be a pricey one if you have thousands of members!

Yeah, same here.. but it isn't just Gmail. Yahoo and Hotmail does it too. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
I'm not surprised, since a lot of Dolphin sites are known to spam inboxes. I remember one site which would remind me every single day about an expired membership. Even I reported it as spam. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
no, because all of my site admin notifications are going to gmail, yahoo, and hotmail.
I even able to send gmail to myself from my home server.. not supposed to be able to but somehow I get them,

I don't think it has anything to do with being whitelisted. I think it has something to do with the DNS setup on your server. I know each of the big email providers look for different things to tell if something is spam or not.
Also I can send email from outlook as my sites account and it will get to their inbox, but if it's sent from the site via php it goes to spam. Go figure....
