Gmail is sending emails to spam folder

Hi,

Our domain and website are fairly new... all emails I sent to few test Gmail emails are going to Gmail's spam folder unless I un-spam it from that gmail account!

Is there a way to prevent this issue? I enabled SMTP Mailer and tested it... it works fine and gives me the message "Email Sent Successfully" ...

I tried sending to emails other than Gmail and it works fine...

I thought of putting a message such as "Important: Please check your spam folder" right after the message that they get after submitting a form such "email successfully sent" but which file controls this? how can I edit it?

Thanks...

By any chance, are you overriding the default sender email address with an email address that belongs to a different domain than the domain from which it is being sent?

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

No I'm overriding the same default sender email address as per the instructions at the bottom of that page... this is only happening with Gmail... Yahoo for instance is working fine!... other emails from other domains such as person@domainname.com are working fine!

if you have a server you need your Postfix properly configure so that your outgoing mail server Hello Says.
Otherwise the updates Wirden rejected or recognized as spam

Simply you need to see is top outgoing mail server set up correctly
Have a hosting package or a suitable server
If you have a hosting package Describe your hosting your problem

If you have a server they look in
main.cf file to and searching for

myhostname = XXXXXXXXXXXX
they look to see whether the server name is entered correctly here

usually it is entered
myhostname = UNKNOWN
alias_maps = hash: / xxx / aliases, hash: / var / xxxxx / postfix / plesk / aliases
alias_database = hash: / xxxx / aliases
mydestination = localdomain, localhost, localhost.localdomain localhost
relayhost =
mynetworks =

and hostname UNKNOWN the email does not get through and will be directly detected as spam
