Google Adsense Account

Hi, Can you open a Google Adsense Account without having a business ? I think you have to have a business so taxes can be deducted. I live in Thailand.

Any advice appreciated.

You can open the Adsense account, your site is the name of the business if you like or you can just put it in your name.  The trick is to make sure the account name matches the account you'll have funds sent to or the name on your ID if your receiving a check.

Things are a little more difficult if you do not live in the US...

I live in Canada, I set my account up in my own name payable to me. I was sent a pin number in the mail to verify my address then I had to follow steps they provided to me that declared I was not based in the U.S. and do not need to a U.S. tax return.

One I got the pin in the mail it took less then 5 minutes to read every and follow there steps.

Your quite right, but I am in Asia, they do things differently. I had a hell of a job setting up my business account, personal does not seem to be an option.
