Group Description text box not working

Hi,

I am having a couple of problems with the groups page. When I try and add a group using Firefox 3.0.13 I cannot click inside the text area (where I am typing right now). Nothing happens, the cursor does not appear. 1 out of 5 times it'll let me tab into it and then I can type.

Also, when you click on any of the drop down menus, like Font Size or Font Family, the menu does not drop down from where you click, it drops down from the TOP LEFT most point in the browser, out of sight (you have to scroll up to see it). In IE 7, I can click in the textra area every time, but the drop down menus still pop up at the top left side of the screen.

The drop down problem also happens in the classified section.

Anyone have any ideas?

Does the page contain any javascript errors?

For the drop down boxes to work you need to open templates/base/scripts/BxBaseConfig.php and remove the 'zoom' plugin wherever it's mentioned in that page.

I didn't find any JS errors, and I'm wondering why this only happens in the groups section, the drop downs work fine everywhere else.

Update your firefox browser.  This has been noticed a lot lately and mine went away when I updated the browser.  Wasn't even thinking of the errors until after it was done.

Okay, that worked, thanks! The only one that doesn't work at all is the styles menu, but I can live with that!

We had the same problem with styles.

If you go to templates/base/scripts/BxBaseConfig.php again you can edit the location of the css file the style drop down will use. You want to change the value of this:

content_css: <location of your style sheet>

Then make sure the css stylesheet actually has some styles in it.

My "fix" was a flop... removing the post.
