What if we get the people who are interested in Groupon mod to share the cost of the mod development and we can ask Modules2buy or any other developer to build it for us.

This way we divide the cost and get the mod we want because at the moment no one seems to be developing it.

 This is the right way to go.Just my two cents worth. I do not need a groupon clone. You may want to check out Modzzz existing Coupon mod,

I looked at Modzzz Coupon mod and what I'm interested in is different.

Groupon.com affiliate/API program will serve as RSS feed deals right to your website and will pay you for either getting someone to subscribe to them referred by your site or if someone getting there from your site completes a purchase.

I think its a great tool to monetize your site and make money.
