HELP!!!

I know this isnt the proper forum for this but i dont know where else to go, it seems somehow someone has infected my website with a virus, any link anyone tries to click on my site it attempts to take them to ultimatecomfort.ru  i dont know how to get rid of this virus, and had offered to pay someone to take care of this for me..... but the messaging in unity doesnt seem to be working right now, the Offer stands for anyone that has the skill and is willing to help and can get this done soon.

Do you have access to your server if so run a virus scan from your cpanel i would also suggest calling host to tell them as it might not be just your server could be all there servers they will be able to fix this for you

once a virus is impregnated it will spread you may not be the only person affected

Be Careful not to give your server details to anyone make sure there a trusted member/developer even better speak to your agent he will help with the best form of action to take i would ring your host they will help you

No offence dolphin_jay you can never be to careful sure you have jasond best interest in mind

Hope this helps you

I wouldn't consider this as much as actual malware, but someone just getting access to your web server and making modifications to files.

Great advice guys

surely the easiest way to fix this would be to think back to when the changes were made then speak with host as most of them keep backups of all there servers eg a daily weekly and monthly backups

I know HostForWeb dose this

If you can remember back to when you discovered your problems get your host to run backup to day before. Get them to do it from there end as it will be far faster then for you to run one remotely then login to your cpanel and change password for the cpanel and FTP accounts this should prevent this from happening again

Tell your host what has happened they will advise you further
