HELP mediaActions.php suddenly forbidden

PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm suddenly getting this error when trying 'share' and 'report' action-links on photo and video pages:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /mediaActions.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Has anyone experienced this and know what I can have done wrong? Or if it's something with the server.
I've tested this before with no problems. And 'edit' action that also uses mediaActions.php works with no problems. So I don't thinks it the server but because of some modding elsewhere I've done lately...

Sincerely

Dorit

Try just to reload this file (possible someone delete this file? )

and set normal permissions on it (644)

Nope, as I said, file is there and working with 'edit' action... And permission was already 644

I think problem must be with modding on another file, since I haven't touched mediaActions.php at all...

Check your server for the following security items (they'll be in the root section, your host can tell you if you have them or not)

mod_server

mod_evasive

portsentry

These items will work with dolphin but must be fine tuned and will cause 403 Errors (unauthorized to view this page) as it will be tripped by Ray.  You need to edit the ray/modules/.htaccess folder to handle your site features and also to deal with these security programs if you have them.  It takes some tweaking to get it to work correctly, but it will work once you find the correct settings.

I'd list them, but so far I've found them different on each of 3 servers, it depends on the php & apache versions your running in addition to the security programs, which is what causes the differences.

Good Luck with it.

Hi, thanks for ideas guys. I just don't think it's server related, since I have another installation on another domain but on same server/VPS, where this works just fine. And it was also working fine here at some point.

I guess I just have to roll back to an old site/database backup and start over with mod implementation while testing vigerously...
