Ok so here's the thing-

My Dolphin was installed by hosting company for me, so I'm not too sure how all the FTP Access and files are to add/change my stuff.

But I have a few Modules I got that I'd like to add to my Dolphin & few for my Ray too-  can anyone help me frigure out where I put these things?

Thnx

If she is not running Dolphin 7, then that will not work. If you are running ver 6.1.6 or lower, each "mod" should have a set of instructions on what to do. Can you give us some info on what version you have and what mod?

Nothing to see here

I'm running version 6.1.6 & I've tried the ADMIN PANEL, method, browse files and install through the modules section as stated, it says they've installed but then I have yet to see them any where?

Some of the mods I'm trying to install for example are;

-User Time

-Birthday Auto Congrats

-Free Live Cam

-Free Games

-Different  Nick Color

-Mood Icons

-Member info on thumbnail

-Age on Profile

-Driving Direction Face Book Share

-More Comments on Video Gallery Page

-Reply Link in Guest Book

& a few other free bees I've found here and there...

Some of them say they've loaded fine into the modules section, sometimes I get error messages, but the ones that are loading 'fine' I can't find em!?!?! Yell

Any Idea where they could be? Embarassed

Thnx

Regardless of the mod your integrating into Dolphin it needs to be done the following way:

1.  Go to google and type in WinSCP  and download/install it.  It's free and I highly recommend it if you have the means, this will work as your FTP Client.

2.  Go back to Google and type in Notepad++ and download/install it.  Another free one that I highly recommend as soon as you have the means to get it.  A truly amazing product.

3.  Login to your server via WinSCP (This is called an FTP Connection).  Please check with your host as to the correct port # & connection type for WinSCP.   I'm attaching some screen shots here to help you out:

4.  Once your logged in, before you mess with any files it's time to order your system to do things the way that you want them to be done, IE The Right Way.  In the top menu of your WinSCP (At the very top you will see a button that says "Options" click it and then click in the drop down menu that opens "Preferences" [It will be the last item in the drop down menu]).  A box will open on your screen, in the left column of that box please click on "Editors".

5.  Next up, as the image says please click Add and you will get another box that asks if you want to add an internal or external editor.  Please click external and then select Notepad++ as the editor you wish to add.     Once you have added it it will return to the screen you see above with Notepad++ at the bottom.  Please click 1 time on "Notepad++" to highlight it and then click the "Up" button until it appears at the top of the list.  This will make all files open with Notepad++ that are on your server.  Saves time and makes your life much easier.  Set all settings as I have them in the picture below this:

Next up is the shot showing Notepad++ moved to the top of the list and made Primary Code Editor

6.  Your going to order WinSCP to do all FTP Transfers in the correct manner:  "Binary" and only "Binary" as this ensures all files fully upload.  In the left column of the block you just moved Notepad++ to the top of the list you will see "Transfers" Please click on it and set it as you see in the image below:

Now, just click the "OK" Button and you are set to start working.  You do not need to relogin or anything as it will begin working for you now.    Just navigate to your mod file that you have saved on your computer, unzip it, locate the "install" file and follow the directions.  If you have more questions please feel free to ask and we'll do our best to help out.  Also check your Private Messages on here, there's a surprise for you.
