HTML Block saving as plain text rather than web images/layout

My HTML block is saving code as plain text and not the web page.  Also the HTML block window's menu only has "font size" and "font family".

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank You in advance,

Allen

Don´t worry.  It is not broke.
It is just not possible to edit text LIKE we DO HERE in Forum...  Just make your html in dreamweaver, copy the html code from there and paste it on your HTML block.  That shoud work or suppose to work heheh Smile

Actually, that's what I'm doing.  I'm editing in Dreamweaver and copy&paste html code into the HTML block.  For some reason it's saving the html code as plain text.

 Nothing in Forum

-  Well, try to clean the cache using your FTP or File Manager.... don´t delete .access
- Check template issue by looking the results in default Dolphin
- and open a ticket if nothing change.

Hope someone here know something to share?

Someone brought up the idea of "adding the code directly through the database, which will bypass this".

Does anyone have a step-by-step on how to do this?

Thanks,

Allen

I guess it will create a Lang Key...  Maybe you can go to Language Setting and search for the Lang Key (in your case Listen_to_PNN_Radio and Edit it.   Did it work for you?

if it is HTML that you are trying to write to the block, you will need to open the HTML editor, and not paste directly in the block itself.

 Thank you DOSDAWG...
So HTML Block does not accept the HTML Code, right?
where can we past the HTML?

To edit a language Key works too?

I guess that's the problem.  There is no "HTML editor" in my block.  The only menu items in my HTML block is "font size" and "font family".

Since I am having issues with my html block, where (in my database) do I go to edit the html directly.  I've looked in my cpanel database but can't find that particular html block.

yes, I would like to know that too.

Well, I was basing in Terms_of_use that can be edited in Language Key and it has html embed there. Hope you can find a help here.

I figured it out:

- Go to web cpanel

- click on phpMyAdmin

- Select your designated database (top left)

-Select sys_page_compose (or just "page_compose") located on the left

-Find your page block and edit the html content.

Worked for me. Laughing

No longer works in 7.08. This is absolute horsepucky. What the hell use is an html block editor that won't save what you out in it?
