HTML not working, Info request needed

Hi,

I have a question? Can someone tell me why this HTML code doesn't work on my site? I copied the code and will paste it here. May be someone can let me know why it will not work? I paste it into my HTML editor and when I go to view it, nothing is there. Any help will do.

Thanks

That would have to be injected into your database manually.

Look here http://www.duvallocals.info/page/arcade#en

Hi , thank you for your info, but I don't think I would be able to do that. I guess I don't understand on how to go about doing that? I just know the basics. I can get around, but that's about it.

"That would have to be injected into your database manually." What do I need to do when you say inject?

If you don't want to add extra modules and or manually change the code as suggested on other topics to make iframes and  games work

1. Create HTML block on desired page for the arcade..
2. Insert your the code  (and I suggest when creating this block you insert your Language "key" i.e. "_arcade")
3. Open your phpmyadmin from you cPanel
4. Open your Dolphin MySQL database
5. Open and edit "sys_page_compose"
6. navigate to the last page of list with the ">>" button
7. find the caption  "_arcade" listed for the index page or the page you inserted code to
8. re paste the code from above into the "Content" field
9. and click "Go"

Clear your cache..

Hi again newton27,

I have a 7.04 site and want to learn how to upgrade the site to the newest upgrade. Is there a step by step way to do this? I read somewhere here that upgrades have to do it one upgrade at a time. Meaning I can't go from 7.04 to a 7.08 upgrade. Is that true? Anyway, like before, I was able to follow your instructions so I was hoping that you may have a step by step way in doing the upgrade.

Thanks

Upgrades are VERY easy depending on how much you have changed the core files.

Being as your on .4 and inquire about the above, I'm sure you have not modded your site.

  1. make a back up, then
  2. make another one..
  3. follow the directions for the upgrades

If your not sure I will do your upgrades for you, will take about 30 minutes.

Hey newton27,

Thanks for your fast response.

I was checking out the instructions on the upgrades. It's all Greek to me if you know what I mean?

Upgrades are VERY easy depending on how much you have changed the core files. <------- Not sure. I've done a lot with my site. It's been online for a year now.

Being as your on .4 and inquire about the above, I'm sure you have not modded your site. <---- Modded?

  1. make a back up, then  <---------------------------- Why 2 backups?
  2. make another one..
  3. follow the directions for the upgrades <------- I looked into this, still looks Greek to me. I'm not the great with things like this. I can get around a bit but that about it.

If your not sure I will do your upgrades for you, will take about 30 minutes. <------------- Is that 30 minutes for all upgrades? or is it per upgrade? Is there a charge for this? I've been unemployed going on 3 years now so money is very limited.

30 minutes for all upgrades, and no charge, just post on my profile page.

Modded means, if you have changes to core files, such as design.inc.php or some other files.

Way too cool

Thank you. I'll for sure will post on your profile page. I see you're from Jacksonville? Is that Jacksonville Florida?

If it is, I have two of my sisters living there. Most of my family members live in the Tampa, St. Pete area.

When will it be a good time for you to upgrade and what will you need for me to do?

Thank you so very much

I'll check it all out soon. I'll be heading to your profile now.

I still need to see how to center the footer on the red template.
