Hacked/NO SUPPORT

I've been getting HACKED EVERYDAY!! and there is NO SUPPORT FROM THIS COMPANY. I've been looking to recover my Admin password for days now and it got hacked again because I've received NO RESPONSE FROM DOLPHIN. I am a paying customer and this site's security and support is a joke. I know what's going to happen NOW after various emails a dolphin staff member is going to make a comment that supposedly makes everything alright, but IT DOES NOT because I keep on burning cash to get developers to fix these hacks and errors that occur daily when building a site with dolphin.

I recommend you contact your hosting provider, as they would be able to investigate any hackings. You should also change all server-related passwords. If you're running an older version, you should upgrade, as there have been reported vulnerabilities.

To reset your admin password, try this solution.

So far i have seen 3 topics on this that you have posted as well as 1 blog entry. Suggestions have been made on every one of them yet you have not responded to any of your other posts.

You should continue with your existing posts with a response as to whether or not the suggestion worked or not. Then additional suggestions could be provided. At this point in time we do not know what you have tried if anything.

I see. I don't like it when people complain of receiving no support, and then ignore any support they have received.

The only people who should be allowed to do that are the ones who actually receive no support.

Sorry. That was a job post not a blog post made quite a while ago with 2 responses.

I'll use the pitchforks I was preparing on you, then. He did make some forum posts about resetting is password, though.

I also have to ask if you've emailed or submitted any support tickets? If so, has anyone responded to them at all?

Time to find a new host and do some research. If you are getting hacked then perhaps it is something you have changed. If you edit any of the default files there is no way you can blame it on boonex. I am not saying it is not hackable, but you need to make sure your code is secure if you are tweaking things.

sorry about your luck on this adventure. though i must inquire, how is it that there are reportedly over 100K registered users on boonex unity and your site is the only one getting 'hacked' as you call it.

as an IT specialist, and systems administrator for over 300 dolphin sites, i can tell you the issue is not and i repeat, not with dolphin.

you reference the word 'hacked' though you provide no access logs, or any further information to go on. your hosting company should be able to provide you with a log of all access to your server.

let's consider exactly what might be happening, your server is not secure, therefore, ftp is not secure, and i would bet that FTP is the means of access.

the irony of repeatedly being accessed leads me to believe that there are other underlying issues, that are not being reported.

so in your quest for assistance, you must also provide relative information to the exact problem.

a couple of questions that can be answered:

1. after the first time you realized you had this problem, did you change all login parameters on the site, the database, and your hosting account?

2. which ftp client are you using?

3. what version of dolphin are you running?

4. have you asked your hosting provider for access logs to the server account?

5. have you given your login credentials out to anyone?

i personally dont think this is a dolphin problem. i am running way too many dolphin sites to even consider this to be an issue with dolphin.

Maybe the lack of useful response is due to the lack of a useful question here. Be very clear on what you want.

If you need to recover your password, search. Answered dozens of times. As a matter of fact, someone did answer this for you.

Chances are you are not hacked. Nearly every time this happens, the hackee is incorrect on their assumption. Maybe explain what this "hack" is doing? Id guess since you can not remember your admin password, that you also can not set up your site correctly, nor decipher what is a hack or a simple configuration mistake.

You seem spastic and irritable, with no patience. Every post you have is urgent and all demanding and angry.

My tips to you are, take a deep breath and relax. Use search. Be clearer. We are just folks like you, not mind readers.

Have a great day.

This sentance says nothing, and its possibly spellt wrong.
