Heavy Site

Dear peeps

 

I am asking for help. i was told my site is very heavy. i used firebug to check and it show 200 ok. i was told is too heavy and it takes a lot of resources because of that. and the loading time is very slow.

 

i dont know what to do can someone direct me on how to reduce this? or can you help me directly. this is dolphin forum. i have had a number of good help here and i know others will be willing too. please help. i need help generally.

Just by visiting the front page...if I can suggest something. You have ALOT of queries running on the first page for ANYONE that visits. I would try lessen the load by making your site load less for visitors, by simply changing the membership levels. I would also look into compression of your files using gzip and consider CDN. And last but not least, removing some mods. The more mods you add to your site, the longer its going to take to load.

 

I would provide more details and even instructions, however I am in a hurry to get to bed, early day tomorrow :(

It loads about average here the load time to me is average dolphin load time, However half of your template images do not load

yes all these are the problems i am facing. i have a major problem which is finance.  i really know what my site needs but i can't get it properly due to this problem of finance. anyway thanks for checking it out. is there any suggested way to improve it?
