Help Caching problem!!!

I selected XCache as the caching engine and its not installed correctly....i cannot view the website for errors or access the admin area to disable caching....how can i force disable or force change the caching engine to file cache??? Urgent!

You will need to do a database edit; the question is where and I am not sure at this time..

In the database > sys_options. Run a search for:

• sys_db_cache_engine (File)
• sys_pb_cache_engine (File)
• sys_mm_cache_engine (File)
• sys_template_cache_engine (FileHtml)

I've listed the default values - note the templates/HTML cache is "FileHtml" and not "File" like the others. Save and clear the /cache directory (except for the .htaccess file). That should set you right.

Hmm, i dont appear to have a "sys_options"....?

Please ignore my last i was making a schoolboy error and not selecting tables to search....when searching.....

I have found the corresponding options and set them as explained and the site is back up..Thank you SO Much!
