Help cant register

Hi, im having a few problems with my orca in dolphin suite, (again)

i have two problems, and im pretty sure they are conected, as you can probaly understand i would really prefer it to be perfect before i start promoting it, and this error is one of those little faults.

so i cant register, ( wrong registration number) is what it says, and also i still get this error.

Warning: file_get_contents(http://license.boonex.com/orca.php?LN=&d=boost-us.com) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/u1/jord070/html/orca/classes/Admin.php(42) : eval()'d code on line 24

Now this to me still looks like its just something that isnt allowd/installed in my php.ini file but i still dont know what it is.

anyone please help!

Thanks

I also get this error and was told this:

"You need to set the parameter allow_url_fopen to On in your server's php.ini file."

However, I'm not sure how to go about that. My site is hosted on Dreamhost.

Any assistance with this would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, my web host doesn't allow this (http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Allow_url_fopen).

"Enabling allow_url_fopen is a terrible idea that exposes your website, and the websites of others on your shared server, to unnecessary risk."

So now I'll need a way to get around this and I'm no php programmer. Doesn't Boonex have any other way to handle this? Obviously others are running into this problem as well.

thanks i will give it a try

Allow url fopen is actually fairly common. The reason for it with dolphin is to connect to boonex to register and verify your licenses for dolphin, orca, ray. Without it you probably wont be able to register and update your info.

I have not seen any info about this being a security risk unlike many other modules.

It your host don't allow it look around this seems to be almost the standard.

Usually a [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission means that a file or folder isn't set to the righ permission, so it can't open it or access it. The script wants to open x-file or x-folder but it cant because the permission is not right.
