Help with switching templates

I am new to this dolphin thing all I want to do is switch the template, when i do go to admin advance setting switch I get a butch of garbage errors, then I come to this site and read up on customizing templates, crap makes no sense to me

can some one give a simple explanation on swithing to new template, please, I am loosing my mind

what are all the errors may i ask?

1. PLEASE ... Learn how to spell.

2. PLEASE ... Learn how to express yourself so that others can actually understand you.

3. If you have "a bunch of garbage errors" in the advanced settings of your admin dashboard, then your installation must be fouled up. There should be no errors at all if your server is already configured properly, to be able to run the Dolphin Community Platform. Take a long hard look at this:  REQUIREMENTS (click here) and this link INSTALLATION (click here too). If you can't understand what you see on those pages then you have no business running this software, much less playing around with themes or other internal tweaks.

4. If you do understand those linked portions of #3 but can't understand how CSS files and dolphin templates work, then may I suggest checking out some of the free and commercially available dolphin templates at UNITY which can also be viewed by clicking right here!

5. There is no such thing as a "simple explanation" for writing a template. Dolphin is so huge that it uses NUMEROUS css files for one single template, and if you ever plan on using additional mods or plugins in the future, you may have to change even more css files just for those.

6. Read, read, read, and look for SPECIFIC answers to specific detailed questions in the forums. Got a problem with templates, then search for the word ... template. Got a problem with background, page or other colors, then search in the forums for the word ... color, and so on.

Thank you for the insults my friend, I was thrown into this platform by a developer I had hired for my web design company, he split on my customer now I am just trying my best to get something going with this platform, but after messing with this thing and the no help available, I am getting rid of this garbage, thank you

Your remarks clearly showed a lack of expression & spelling which I pointed out to you without being nasty about it. Furthermore, I provided you with three different links in order to inform yourself, followed by some hints which would help you to find viable information for specific topics that may apply to you as long as you'd be willing to read and to use this community ... like everybody else! Seems like you're looking for instant point 'n' click miracle solutions. Well, you're in the wrong place for that. Dolphin is the most amazing, gigantic, all-encompassing community software in the world (my opinion). If you're not willing to search for specific answers, do a lot of reading & learning, then nobody will be able to help you here!

Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds? Seems like you know very little about website design yet you claim to have your own web design company ??? Wow, that is truly entertaining. Oh, darn it, now I am being a bit insulting, sorry ....
