 ok i have no clue where to set up moderators to run the chat board..... i don't even know if they have the ability to kick bad people out... i made a site moderator user in subscriptions but it doesn't show up on the moderators list would like to have this option..
PS: can anyone tell me where the fans link disappeared in d7.0.7 when it was plain as day on d7.0.6?

Here is the only way I know to do it:
- The user that you want to be a moderator need to be IN the chatroom - You , as the site admin, need to login to the admin area of the chat room. You can do the via the admin panel > modules > Flash Apps > Click the + next to A/V Chat then click admin. - Click the person's name you choose the 'Moderator' option.
Note: You cannot be logged in the chatroom through the website and the Admin area at the same time. Nothing to see here |
that works great for chat moderators.. but how do you set site moderators? is there a trick? |
You can update the user ROLE to a 2 in the database. But before doing that, you may want to wait and see what D7.0.8 will have in store. I believe they are working on a way to manage admins and moderators a little easier. Nothing to see here |
