Homepage Redirect

Quick question... if a member comes back to my site's homepage from google.com for example who is already signed in, I want that person redirected to the account page.  Homepage is only good for anyone who is not logged in.  I saw a few redirect mods but they are good only after you log in. Any idea where I can tweak that. :/

Any method i can think of to do that would also prevent any logged in members from directly going to that page. In other words if they manually go to index.php or click the home link, it would redirect them to the profile page.

Most peoples home pages have stuff on it usefull to both members and guests. Are you saying you removed all of that stuff leaving only the logon box?

ah no i mean.. suppose my members come back to my site's homepage with username/password cache, i want them redirected to the member.php page. It's the same concept as facebook. You only see facebook's homepage when you're not logged in. Sorry maybe I wasn't clear.

Maybe i was not clear either.

So i will use your facebook example.

Facebooks front page only has a logon box on it. Dolphins normally does not. So for facebook, preventing someone from getting back to that page after logon is not a problem. But for dolphin, given that page has a lot more than a logon box on it, that will become a problem.

So what i am saying is if you redirect for those that are logged in then viewing index.php for logged in members will not be possible. So the page must be setup so it does not contain any member content at all. By default most dolphin sites have the member list, public photos,  public videos, ect.

This is true.

because of our browsers, saving pass words and such, it does go to the index when they hit the book mark, or what ever they use to get to the site!

I have looking for the same thing, because as deano points out, the index page is full of modules, photos, etc., but You would want your members to go to the dashboard first to check e-mails, and see whos viewed them, and all the impotant info first before going on to the index page!

I have tried to redirect the info too, but without taking everything off the home page, It isnt working!

So yes i would be interested too. not an emergency, but be nice to have

Back to pulling my hair out! (ouch, ouch, ouch)

ah! I get what you're saying but I saw this from Cogzidel Templates and it seems possible, http://www.cogzideltemplates.com/clonescripts/details/28 I don't want the whole script but the redirect concept is exactly what i want.  Now I'm curious how they do it ha

They also redirect any request for the index.php file to member.php. They seem to bypass index.php altogether.

you can go to your navigation menu and click on the home block, then replace index.php with member.php...hope that helps
