I have a new site up, still in Free mode, but has 120 users so far.
<br>
However, it seems that Dolphin is beating the heck out of Mysql, which is causing everything to slow down. At first I thought it was the Cam stream, that was causing the bulf of the problem, however, after bringing up a new server, and putting the RMS on it, it turns out, that the cam stream barely touches the CPU.
<br>
Now ultimately I will mograte the whole site over to the new box, but I am concerned that I will outgrow this box quickly, just because of the mysql connections. I have optimized the DB, but not mcuh help there.
<br>
The new box specs:
<br>
Intel C2Q Q9300 Quad Core, 2.5Ghz, 6MB Cache, 1333FSB
6GB DDR2-667 RAM
250GB SATA-II 16MEG CACHE HDD x 2
1U Supermicro Server with 4 HOT-SWAP HDD Bays
Raid 1
OS: FreeBsd 7.04
<br>
This is a Dedicaed box, the box I am migrating from is:
Intel P4 2.8Ghz
1GB DDR RAM
120GB HDD
<br>
The old machine has been doing jsut fine, until I put Dolphin on it.
<br>
I saw a post where Sammy said that she had lots of Dolphin installs. She did not indicate what the specs her machine was though.
<br>
I know I can load balance the Box and Dolphin, but I should be able to run dolphin with 1000's of suer before needing that option.
<br>
Please share your experience with Dolphin and your boxes, please make sure that you share your Server Specs for accuracy. Atleast give, Dedicated, VS, Shared, etcc. and any other specs you are aware of.

Thanks
