How can I change the default currency

This is a very basic change and I'm still wondering why Boonex Dolphin didn't bother to put somewhere in their dashboard how to change default currency. I'm still seeing "$" in the ads section, I need to change it in "php". See  [Link removed by request] also see  [Link removed by request] they are all displayed in "$" and in  [Link removed by request] it displays the text "Custom Values price $". I have 3 permanent licences of Dolphin and I can't believe such simple task is still very difficult to figure out. Please help!

Regards,

Sam

You could have posted this in the other topic with the same title.  Let's see if we can figure this out.

Now, to change the currency symbol, you need to look up the code for the currency symbol you wish to use.

May I asked if you even looked in the payment module?  The fields to change this are right at the top of the form.

I will even go grab the symbol code for you:

HTML Entity (decimal) ₱
HTML Entity (hex) ₱

Then I guess you have another problem if that is not solving the issue for you.

Well, put in a support ticket to Boonex.

Also, you might consider allowing someone with experience to take a look at your site to see if they can figure it out.  Perhaps this is a bug.

One can download and test Dolphin without buying a license.  Why did you buy three when you did not know the software would work for your purposes?  Just curious.

First of all, let's keep the discussion for this here instead of spreading it out across other topics.

Secondly, my apologies to you.

Third, I just spent some time working with this, installing the ads module and working with both the payment and Ads module.  The currency sign does seem to be broken.  I can change the currency code for memberships but it is ignoring the currency symbol for the ads module.  Plus, it does not use the currency symbol for memberships as far as I can see.  I have a very very short list of currency codes as well.  There are no settings for currency in the Ads module.

If this is a bug, I can not believe it has not been addressed and fixed before now.

 Hi Geeky Girl!

Finally got it to work. The payment module does not seem to affect the ads module so there's no sense changing the currency there. The work-around is actually in the category manager. Go to the main category e.g Cars for sale then click "Edit" link. Change value for Unit 1 field from $ to PHP and click the "Edit" button (it should have been Save button btw). In the next screen, click the Save button.

Cheers!
