How can I increase the file size...

...allowed for picture uploads?

And for that matter, for all media.

The current upload limit in the default install must be 1mb or less, because I can't upload pictures to a profile if the picture file size is larger than that.

Is this an internal setting or something I need to change on my server?

little of both, need to change php upload limit, and for other media change settings in ray modules.......mainly the php.ini upload limit

ok cool, I just asked my host to increase the file sizes on the server side, we'll try that first :)
