Choose the member from your Admin Panel and open his/her profile edit page... On the top of this page you will see a check box to mark this member as featured... save... it's done :-)

If you make members as featured, they will appear there.

Check from your Admin Panel - Builders if this field is active.

Admin -- Users -- Members -- on this page go to 3rd block 'Profiles',

now click on any member ID as 1, 2, 3....

new page Edit Profile will open... on 1st block 'Admin Controls' tick on "Featured"

Admin -- Settings -- Languages Settings... on this page go to 4th block 'Search for strings'

Look for : type 'Featured' here and click on search

you will find 4 Language strings... click on Edit to type new text as you required.

Hope it helps.

When I do this it also forces me to re-enter the member's password. It happens because of the confirm password, where you enter it a second time. Of course, I can't do that because it's ********* hidden, unless I change that members password. Any ideas to work around this?

Thanks

Yes, you need to enter into the sql database and look up the password's hash string, then take that to an md5 hash site and have it broken back down, this will give you the password.

However, here's how the rest of us do it:

1.  Go to the edit profile page for the member we want

2.  Select Featured

3.  Your going to love this part, it's a multi-phase section:

     A) Locate the down arrow on the right side of your screen, yes the one on the right side of the browser your in.

     B) Continue to hold it until the page scrolls all the way to the bottom.

     C) Look to the left of that arrow now, halfway across the screen in a horizontal direction

     D) Notice the button?  Don't touch it yet that is a future step.

      E) Now drag your mouse over the button, it will say "Save" on it, but don't click yet.

     F) Okay, are you sure you have the right button?

     G) Are you positive you have the right button, thinking maybe I should upload a screenshot here for you...

     I) No, I think you can figure it out on your own.  Besides, takes time to upload screenshots.

     J) Now go ahead and very carefully click it with your "Right" mouse button, but be careful to NOT click it more than once:

Your done.

Thanks for the tip. It didn't work in FF, and in IE it worked by dragging over then left clicking, not right. But it works!  =)
