How do I add a picture?

This may sound really stupid, but I have had my dolphin site for awhile now, and I just tried to add a picture into a block in one of my columns on my home page. I cannot do this. I can't add a picture into a html block. It has that option, but when I put the path of the image into the html editor or the url in the url line of the insert image option, all I get is a question mark in the preview window, which is how it appears when I view the page. I am sure what I am doing is something stupid, but I have looked in the forums, apparently no one else has had this problem, and I have seen other sites where people have some type of blocks on their pages with images in them. How do you do this? I have Dolphin version 6.1.6

Could you send a screenshot please.

I changed to Dolphin 7, but I also have my old 6.1.6 working. So I can check to do the same.

Did you upload your picture before? I'm asking because it could be everything, every little thing :)

Insert must be put in as a full url. You can verify the url is valid by entering it into the url line of your web browser. If your browser loads it then the html block should load it also.
