How do I add an 18 second music .WAV clip to play on member.php?

Hello everyone,

I currently have a "WELCOME and GOODBYE .WAV file that plays on logon and log off of my site.  How would I add an 18 second music clip to the member.php page.........I have it now playing at login but of course it cuts off when the member.php page loads......I want to extend it so that it plays at login  and member.php. I have both the .WAV and .SWF for the music clip that is 18 secs long....Oh also want it to play at logout but gets cut short because it is 18 secs long....

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Jeff

Someone will probably help out with the technical side, but my opinion is that 18secs of compulsory audio when logging in and out of a site would get old real quick. Regardless of that, you'd be better off with an mp3 format or other compressed audio format if you want it to load quickly.

Forget the focus on the "18 secs" it would get cut short anyway.....I just need to know the MAIN focus as to how I can have ANY sound that I choose for MY site load on member.php. Obviously there is a reason I need this for my site.......anyone else wanna offer more positive suggestion.....Just need to know how to embed or load WAV on this page.....I'm not interested in opinions as everyone's site is different and has different themes and needs....Just need the "HOW-TO" info if anyone can help....

Thank you

drop a html block onto the member page with the player included and the ability to change your message by changing the content.........

I also know of a player that plays sound and video and is very easy to drop in but the one I use is a pay for play very cheap though............it would allow to to change content on the fly so to speak.........add video or sound pictures whatever........

I don't know if the embed feature works for the music player dolphin provides and the embed has seem to always been an issue but I would try that first IOW upload your 18 second idea of the day and then try to embed it through a html block and see if it works........ undoubtedly if it does you could change it at will.......

alright i have an idea i hope that you like it go to this link and download the mod after that do every thing it says

http://www.boonex.com/m/Redirect_to_any_page_after_logon_

now what we are going to do is redirect the user after login to a redirect page that will redirect him to the member.php page of his but after 18 sec. or what ever

so :

1- install the mod

2- make a new html file and post the following in the head tag of the page and if you dont have a head tag just put this under the <title> tag

<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=PASTE THE LINK TO THE MEMBER.PHP FILE">

content="0; ==>change it to number of seconds you want and dont forget to put the music to play in the background ..

3- make the mod redirect the user to this page and then he will have to wait 18 sec to be redirected i guess the same applies for the logout in here but you need to modify the mod or ask some one to do it (sorry im lazy and gotta sleep )

i don't think you can do what your asking for in any other way because the loading time for the page differs from one person to another but i think that if any body knows ajax he could help you with that in a more professional way

if i did help you .. it wont hurt to go to my profile and add a recommendation for me ;)
