How do I adjust categories in Modules in 7.2.1?

I would really appreciate some help learning to make changes to the category lists for Sites, News and Articles. The existing categories are not relevant to my users. I've contacted Alex at Boonexpert about Category Slider, but it's not ready for 7.2.1. If Alex only knew I'm considering paying $30 each for the Modzzz premium News and Premium Articles so I can do this, hopefully, maybe he'd be a little more encouraged. Or maybe it's a problem so difficult that he may not want to work on it for 7.2.

I could edit database files if necessary - did someone say there was a video for that, for 7.2?

Just goto http://YOURSITE.COM/administration/categories.php

At the bottom you will find your categories list. The drop down will show you the modules..
