How do I clone a site

I just want to make sure I understand how to do this.  If I copy all files, including the directory structure, from a configured Dolphin site (with some mods) to a new site, and then do a "structure only" restore for the database, will I have a working cloned site?  Is that all there is to it?

hey there cal.

i havent answered anything you have asked in some time. thought i would jump on this one for you. basically you have it right.

now granted my method is my method, so please dont take it as gospel.

1. compress the site you want to clone

2. make a copy of the database (as you mentioned, if you want structure only)

3. move compressed files to where you want them, uncompress

4. create database and user with permissions for clone

5. insert database structure for clone

6. edit /inc/header.inc.php change the $SITE directory path

7. edit /ray/modules/global/inc/header.inc.php

that should be it. if i am missing anything somebody can pipe in and set it straight.
