How do I remove Video, Sound, Files from Privacy Settings - D7.0.9?

Hi all,

I do not want to use video, files and sound but I had to install them because other modules require them. When I go to Privacy Settings, they are there. How do I remove them from that list?

Probably the easiest way to do this is to use the Page Access Control Module.

1. Go to Administration->Modules

2. See if Page Access Control is enabled.

3. If Not, go to Administration->Tools-Modules and Install it

4. You can use the TOP MEMBER ACCESS menu to make changes to your menu

5. You can use the Member Menu Access to make changes to the Floating toolbar

6. In Page Blocks Access you can define what is visible to what member type, per page, per block

Also, if you do not have the Videos Module enabled for example, no Video's entries will appear in the menu or the pages because they are not available.  You can remove entire modules without adverse affect.  Any dependencies that the modules require will be listed when you attempt to Install the ones you want to use.  In your case, you may wish to uninstall any modules you are not going to use at all.

Anyone have an idea? This image is from the Privacy Settings page at member_privacy.php

 I am afraid this will request a customization.  A good developer can handle that.
 Other option, you can create Membership Levels (administration>Settings/...) and there you can allow/disallow video/sound/file upload for each type of membership.

I guess the Membership system doesn't work with Privacy Settings because I did disable video, files and sound at all membership types and still it shows video, files and sound at the Privacy Settings page.

    I think the upload  options will be display, but if the member try to upload some file, video or sound he won't be able by the system if you set up to do so.   Did you try to upload any file?
