This question is in regards to what it takes for a member to find other members on the search page, either by their attributes or their location, in 6.1.6.
Right now, my site is set up so that a user fills out a profile with their information. They choose the country (let's use US for an example), and then the States field will autofill in from the LKey, but then for their city, it's just a blank field that they fill in.
Is this enough? Or will it require me to type in every city in every state? Or is there a mod for this already created?
I have the Zip Code Mod installed, but while it may work on the homepage, it's not 100% accurate on the search page. Are there fixes for this or other mods that you can recommend that can make this work properly?
When a member does a search, I realize that they won't properly be able to do a height range, as the 'inches' (5'2) part will not be recognized by the DB filters. Are there fixes for this or should I just leave that off of my search options?
So basically, if anyone has been able to figure out how their members can do an accurate search for other members, please clue me in on your suggestions, recommendations, etc.
