How members upload pictures/photos?

I have a fresh install of V7 - and I can not figure out how members are supposed to upload pictures?

I also found that during the signup process it asks for a picture to upload - but that does not appear for profile.

I do not see anywhere to upload pictures, not in profile editor, not in tabs at the top.

I also see in profile editor that there is a "_bx_ava_avatar" tab - but when clicked it says module not found.

I looked in modules under admin, and "photo shooter" is enabled.

What am I missing here?

yo steve,

I was lost also at first, make sure that you installed the photos module in the site so that it allows for a photo album and whatnot.Once you install it form the admin area, you will be able to see it on the user profile/dashboard area.

Go to the admin>tool>modules>click photos then click install

Where do we get this photo modal? Why isn't it included? Do we have to buy it? From what I have seen so far, everything has to be bought which is disappointing since I will have to pay 999$ for the script which seems to be an empty shell and I have to buy stuff to make it work... I think if this is the way this script works, it's not worth even 1$. Please correct me if I am wrong. I had great expectations for using Dolphin but now I might go search for something more complete.

It is included. Dolphin by default has all of it's module uninstalled. In the dolphin admin section under modules you will find them. From there you pick and choose which modules you want installed on your site.

And dolphin is free. The $999 price is for the enterprise license.

If your goal is to remove the boonex footer then the $99 licence is all you need.

And even that is not needed to run a dolphin site.

Read the licensing. The $999 enterprise one is over kill for most people.

People just starting should run with the free licence until the website is ready to go live and to give you sufficient time to test the product before buying a licence to remove the footers.

Go to http://yourURL/m/photos/home/ and click the "My Albums" link in the upper right hand corner of the screen, if they don't have an album then click "Add Album" and create an album. Open one of your albums and click the link that says: You have 0 photo(s) in this album. Click here to add more. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

If you don't have the photos module installed for some random reason, then go to Admin>Tools>Modules and scroll down to uninstalled modules and select it and then click "install." If it isn't in your installed or uninstalled modules then you didn't install dolphin correctly and you need to start over.

If you are looking for how to manage Avatars: look at the Dashboard link on the top menu, one of the submenus is Avatar (or navigate directly http://yourURL/m/avatar/). Upload Avatars from there. Avatars are a bit different on Dolphin v. other sites/software (surf through the forums for more info).

A few good starting points for dealing with your Dolphin software:

There is no manual for dolphin, you're going to have to get used to doing some hunt techniques to find the answers to your questions on the forums and in the documentation, such as it is.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
