How ready is D7?

Can any confirm that D7 is mature enough now for me to be able to launch a D7 website and backup the db and content files so that when the stable version is available I will be able to just install, restore db and upload content?

Thanks in advance!

It is a beta so technically not stable.  However you can backup teh database and restore it to a RC in the future.  any moding you do with teh script will be wiped upon the RC install (if you install fresh).  If they make a migration script from beta to Rc then your mods *may* stay.

Betas are not ready for prime time, however, beta 7 is a good imporvement and if youd on't have too many members you could go live if you choose. You just have to dela with any bugs that are still around.

Thanks! This is the answer I was looking for. The only mods I've made to scripts are on the template ccs files (which I can't see changing structurally) so I guess I'm safe to save them too to upload again after the re-install.
