This is actually a very good question which I'm hoping someone can answer. I've always thought why would you want to store files (pics, videos, files, etc) on the same drive as Dolphin runs, better to use an NFS share or even better, cloud storage systems like Amazon or Dropbox. This would make more sense instead of serving the content yourself. With Dropbox, it'll be "free" bandwidth while you just pay for storage. Amazon would charge for both storage and bandwidth I believe. Am sure if a mod was made for this, it would be quite popular. For now, I'd like to store that type of content on a NAS exporting NFS, heaps of easy access storage. Just how do you tell Dolphin to save/read to that new "directory". |
That's actually mentioned in this document: https://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/TutorialHowToReplicateDolphin
I suppose you could mount the drive as one of the directories, or create a link. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
