How to add categories?

How can I add categories in photo/sound/video?

Navigate to Admin > Settings > Categories Settings and under the "Add a Category" section, well... Enter your information, select the type you wish it to be for and click "Submit."

Hi guys, I'm trying to add some category but it's not working for me, i.e. I can type in the information, but I can not select the type/the list is empty and I can not type into the field either.. any idea?  also, I'm trying to understand what the categories are exactly for and the same for Tags.. what the Tags are for in Boonex, are they some kind of Blogs that I/the users can create?
