How to create 3 columns in my own page?

I'm using 6.1.4

Ok, I know I can create columns by creating a new page in the Page Builder. However, for more flexiblity in adding my PHP code, I want to create a totally new PHP page (using links.php or browse.php) as a reference.

The problem is, everything in function PageCompPageMainCode() becomes one big design block. Well, I want to create my own 3 column layout with seperate boxes/blocks.

How do I do that?

You mean like this?  http://astrosturf.com/games.php

(It's a big page.  Give it time to load)

EDIT:  ^^Nice page Houston, great job using multiple tables to accomplish the goal.  Different route than I took, but I like it and it looks great.  Houston went further into than I did, in that he's created multiple tables on the home page to align things where and how he wanted/needed them to appear.

Within templates/tmpl_uni/css/general.css you will find some items to help you with the layout of the page, which if you use with your php page, you'll be able to pull this off without having to use the page builder to lay it out specifically.

Look for these items:

.page_column_first

.page_column_last

and of course

.page_column

If you go to http://mydatery.com/brandy you can see a profile layout that is over ruling the traditional dolphin columns, not sure if it's what your looking for though.  Keep in mind it is not a perfected item yet, rather a work in progress with small issues still.

Don't give me too much credit.  That's just an arcade application contained in a dynamic iframe.

The arcade script is free from ipbcoding.com.

However the script is designed to integrate with Invision Power Board.  A similar arcad script is available for vBulletin, also free.

I first applied the IPB/Dolphin integration that I found on expertzzz, then adding the arcade to IPB was easy.   Then I just made a Dolphin page with the arcade app in a dynamic iframe.  It all works ok, but th IPB integration needs a little work.

The arcade script is pretty popular and there are thousands of free games that can be downloaded for it.  Games are easily installed via the IPB admin.  All you have to do is upload the game in a .tar file and the admin installation does the rest.  I have it set so guests can play games and have their scores recorded so go ahead and check it out.  I have almost 300 games installed.  I haven't tested all the games to see if they all record scores, since this is just a test site of mine.  Also, I don't have most of the games sized as big as they can be, but that's another thing that is easily done via admin.

If you have any trouble connecting to that site, let me know.  There's been some strange issue with the server going on the last few days tha my hosting company hasn't figured out yet.  As a matter of fact it's AFU as I write this.

Many thanks houstonlively, I will check it out, though I am wary of installing IPB as I don't need it...

There is an arcade mod for phpBB (3.0.3 or higher).  You can download it here: http://www.jeffrusso.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1328

I haven't tried it, since I don't use phpBB, but it would be a good solution for anyone that wants to add games to their Dolphin site.  All you would need to do would be to integrate phpBB into Dolphin, then install the arcade mod to phpBB

.

I've looked at the arcade mods on expertzz.com, and I cant' imagine why anyone would want to pay for them.  I might be wrong, but I didn't see a single game mod on expertzzz that includes a score keeping system for the games.  All the mods are just a way to contain the game flash files.... completely useless mods in my opinion.  If you are going to have games on your Dolphin site, at least give users the fun of seeing their scores posted, so they can compete with other members.

.

The arcade mod for phpBB, uses games that have been modified for use with the arcade so that scores are recorded.  There are thousands of games that are compatible with this mod and can be downloaded free, from sites such as http://www.ibpdownloads.com/ or http://invisionarcade.com/  (I assume these will be compatible.)  There's also some game download sites listed in  a thread here: http://www.jeffrusso.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1960

.

The arcade mod for phpBB doesn't have all the features that the arcade mods for IPB and vBulletin have, but it's a lot better than anything you'll find on expertzzz.  Besides that, it's free, and it's well supported.  Another thing that I feel is useless are those game packs that include many hundreds of games.  I'd stay away from those, because they include a lot of games that only 6 year old children would want to play.   I found that it's a lot better to hand pick the best games and just add them to your site slowly.... it gives something regular game players to look forward to.

.

I know there's a Dolphin/phpBB integration available, but I don't know if it supports phpBB 3.0.3

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
