How to customize templates.

Wondering a few items since my recent download of Dolphin 7.1.5
Can I customize colors etc in the default template?
Do most purchased templates have customization options such as changing colors, adding image sliders etc?

I suggest copying the Uni template to a new one; then you can add CSS from the base template as you need to.  While some will disagree with me, do not use @import as it is now considered bad form.  Dolphin will use the CSS in your template over the base template.

If you modify the base template, then when you apply upgrades you risk losing your changes; so create a new template and work from there.

I'm new to dolphin too, but have you checked out the Market yet? It has a lot of modules there that may add the functionality or feature that you are looking to add to your site the modules come with installation instructions.          

Modules should come with instructions; also, developers will answer questions.  You upload the modules following the instructions and then go to your admin, modules, add and manage, and that is how easy it is.

One thing you need to understand is that uninstalling a module will remove the content associated with that module.
