How to have another index page ?

Hi Friends,

MY domain name is currently pointing to my unfinished dolphin site. I want to keep it this way as I guess lot's of things depend on the domain name and I need this for testing.

But on the other hand, I do not want users to land on this unfinished site and instead I want to display a page like "Site Under Construction". Is there anyway to do this???

I was thinking to rename the current index.php/index.html to something else like index_.php and then to put a dummy index.php there, but I don't think it works this way in dolphin.

Any help would be appreciated.

Got it solved, just renamed index.php to index_.php and placed another index.php and it worked.

You also could have a coming soon .hmtl splash page. For most server set ups it will show the index.html first. For me I had to rename my coming soon page  to default.html instead of index.html as my server parses in a differnt order. I am with godaddy and they have differnt setups depending on the differnt hosting package you purchase
