How to rename Admin login Folder

Hi,

I need to hide my Admin Login page by renaming the

admin folder. We all know that by just renaming

the admin folder on the root directory won't work.

Can anybody please show me how to do it right?

Thank you in advance.

Hi.  Any idea how to do this in 6.1.6?  Followed these instructions but had many errors.

Which errors?

Even for 6.1.6 here will same instruction:

a. rename real folder

b. update in your header.inc.php file info about Admin folder.

I just did this and it messed up the login page, though I could still login.

Is that normal? I'm using 6.16 as well.

I wonder if this is part of the problem for tdot647

Here some news:

http://www.boonex.com/unity/blog/entry/Dolphin_6_1_6_Upgrade_Admin_folder_renamed_2009_05_20

So, as result - will fixed. All issues just in one template file: admin_login.html

Here small fix:

admin_dir\admin_login.html

search and delete all '../admin/' by code. Save template. Done.

That was very easy - thanks AndreyP !

The combination of the fix by okidoki and the post noted by AndreyP worked for me, too.  Thanks!
