How to solve "Database quary error"?

Hi,

I've just noticed that after editing a profile I get the error:

But worst than that, then bellow this error appears ALL info! I mean... ALL!

DB name, password, etc...

Besides, the settings are not saved properly after this error.

How can I avoid it?

Get that DB error fixed first and then set DB DEBUG MOD to off

open /inc/classes/BxDolDb.php and find below line of code around line #25

define( 'DB_FULL_DEBUG_MODE', true );

Change it to

define( 'DB_FULL_DEBUG_MODE', false );

We need the full DB description. For this make these steps please:
1. open /inc/classes/BxDolDb.php

find this string :

define( 'DB_FULL_DEBUG_MODE', false );

and change it to :

define( 'DB_FULL_DEBUG_MODE', true );

Finish!

Now you can get the full db error, please provide us when you'll get it!

Now, the thing is, this happens basically with one profile. Not with others that I've created as test.

I don't know if this happens with other users as well, but if happens it's bad in two ways. First, is bad because it's an error and the edit for the second person isn't saved. Second, is really bad because they can see the DB name, password and so on! :S

If anyone could give a hand it would be just great because this time I'm not being able to track down the problem myself! :(

Just in case, have you checked, if mysql is running? Funny story, I was doctoring for hours, even signed up for a new hosting last year, and figured out that mysql is not running, as easy as that.

Are you sure you want it ALL? I've pasted it in Word just to see how many pages it gives me and it's a total of 283 PAGES!

It's a LOT of text as I have a lot of variables added to the DB so people can chose a lot of different options.

Well Second is much more a question of how you manage your error printout, turn it off and noone will see any errors, since you saw it, there is no point of keeping it shown.

It's in your php.ini and don't forget to restart apache.

I know, its far from a solution of the underlaying problem, but it gives you space to breathe.

So far all doubts that I've inserted here in this forum I've solved it by myself (sometimes because of some tip from someone).

I've been looking for the error log and noticed that it was mentioning some king of cache problem while saving the profile settings, so I basically went to the admin panel > settings > advanced settings > other

And then this is what I did:

Disabled option "Enable caching system to store profiles information"

Enabled option "Enable DB cache"

And that's it! It's working perfectly, smoothly and hassle free! :D

However, because the error exists in a cache file, start by clearing the dolphin cache.
