While the subject of file sharing is a confusing and many times difficult one, I have to agree with what you've done. The only person who can sell them this modification is the developer. If they cannot afford the modification at a normal price, then they should try and have the developer sympathize with them and see if they can go lower than normal. And if you are suggesting running over to them to find an illegal share, I wouldn't count on it. (Also, Yagbu.net is no more.) This person has been asking multiple people to sell them a modification, which is not their own to sell. The right to sell this modification is the developer's; their work, their sale. If this person does not wish to respect this (which they have not), and is attempting to now download it illegally (which they have said so, above), then it is stealing. The part where he tries to convince me to send him a copyrighted mod I purchased from someone else for free..... He's a thief and he makes no bones about it. I would suggest he go wash a couple of cars, then he would have enough to buy the mod. This is a direct result of the breakdown of the family structure and the values pretaining to right and wrong that are taught within it. I am also for a BAN of this member from Boonex. If not already, I too agree. He should be banned. It's wrong to steal the work of others and it just makes it so much more worse that he thinks that it's ok to contact satisfied customers of this mod to see if they will resell it. |
