I'm stuck - Videos and sounds won't play

Hello Unity,

my main 7.0.6 installation doesn't play videos and sounds at all, only showing "Loading".

1. Uploading and processing ist fine
2. all files are in the right place
3. permissions are set
4. database structure and content complete
5. uninstalling and reinstalling sound/video modules also done.

- all perfect - but when klicking a video or sound, the holder_as3.swf shows up his "loading" image and that's it.

I isolated the embedded code in an extra html file to avoid cross-side-problems with anything else.
You can test it here: http://www.popskee.de/tvideo.htm

I did another fresh installation of 7.0.6 out of the box for further tests. In that installation it works: http://www.netzobjekte.com/community0/tvideo.htm

So - any hints or tips why the loader doesn't start the player ?
I searched Unity and other resources but no hint helped me out.

Hello SashaE,

thanks for the quick response.

Crons are doing fine, I don't need/use a RMS, it's disabled in the Flash-Apps.

Why is it runing in the clean test-installation (also without RMS) ?

did you set 777 for ffmpeg in flash\modules\global\app\ffmpeg.exe? Also what OS used on your server?

Hello SashaE,

yes I did (as I mentioned in my first post, all needed permissions are set). But maybe I missed one ?
The Server identifies as "Linux infong 2.4 #1 SMP Thu Nov 25 01:59:22 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux "

The problem is NOT the creation of the video by ffmpeg.exe.

The problem is STARTING the Flashvideo. I can definitely assure that there is no local problem with the current flash plugin of the browser.

Did you test the video-links I putted in my post? Both installations are running on the same machine ! Only different folders.
