I need advice and join page does not work

I installed dolphin 7.1.6 through softaculous from my cpanel and the join page doesn't work and there seems to be some other features missing while I try to edit.  Should I uninstall and reinstall with the softaculous or should I delete and do a clean install with filezilla? Or can I upload and overwrite the files with filezilla?

i would delete and upload a zip and extract via cPanel ....   I can do it for you as well if you like.
