I want to say goodbye to Arvixe, where to?

Ok, so I am getting ride of my newbee status, and I need some advice. I won't down talk Arvixe too much, they do provide some help with newbees like myself to get going, but seems the $4 a month fee, is to help you "setup" your site, make your changes etc.  Heck they have been collecting my $4 for over a year now, and i still haven't gone "live" with my dolphin set up.

Now that I am about to go live with Dolphin running phpbb3, I am afraid I will get the "you are actually using the system, so you gots to pay more" email.  It doesn't bother me too much, since I knew this would happen.  I wouldn't expect anyone offering unlimited webhosting for under $10 a month.

I don't have experience with websites or servers.  Realistically what should I be looking to upgrade to?  VPS?  Dedicated?  I know my traffic will answer this questions.  I have no idea what my traffic will be.  Hopping about 200 to 500 visitors per month, with about 50 of them "joining".   My site is mostly to sell my tour guide services, and tour bookings in Cancun.  This is why I don't expect most visitors to actually join, but they would look around, read forums, etc. Any recommendations?

Also, the good 'ol you get what you pay for, is usually true.  However there are usually companies that offer very competitive rates, with excellent services.  Which companies would these be?  If someone wants good relaible hosting for dolphin 7 and phpbb3, who should I look into?

thank

planing on using RMS ?...

Perhaps the question you should be asking yourself is:

Which hosts have the ability to allow me to grow server wise with my membership and site needs?  A Dedicated is going to be more than you need right now and will come down to more of a waste of funds than providing resources for you, most shared servers will be outgrown rather quickly and that will leave you with looking for a new host.  HFW offers a number of VPS & Dedicated products that will enable you to start with a small VPS and upgrade as your sites needs dictate it.  You'll be able to either run your own RMS or lease it and dictate yourself what your looking to run on the server without the hassles of overloading resources that come about from a shared environment.

The other option I can provide is to go through terabyte-hosting, they have a number of shared servers and dedicated plans that can grow with your site, provide RMS with there shared products (from my understanding, not sure about if it comes with dedicateds) and they can provide you with good service overall.

Thanks for the input from both of you.  You know, there more I think about it, the more I am inclined not to use the rms.  The market I am in, won't be interested in posting their own videos, leaving one another video messages etc.  If people meet on my site, and they hit it off, they can exchange emails, and at one another to their facebooks :).  I am not running a dating site.  So more than likely I wouldn't run the RMS, if I did, it would be very limited.

HFW, I actually knew what you are talking about without having to look them up, Host For Web they are called right?  I actually wasted my money with them (not my fault) for about a year, before I noticed I could run it cheaper for a while on Arvixe.  guess I will start eying them again.

Thank

The legal mind in me asks what does the ***, 1, 2, 3, limit.  Big bullets are nice, tiny mice usually tell a different story that doesn't resemble the big points.

Please, 1 interesting question,

When you go to arvixe they pay for you your feature domain, free for life till you pay them, but what happen if you would like to change of hosting? Becouse if you look for your domain in whois you will see that your domain information is not the same as I got before

Easy enough. All he has to do is swap from the Arvixe registrar to another registrar. In fact Arvixe are just enom resellers. I find it easiest to keep my webhosting and registrars seperate as I am always chopping and changing webhosts.
