Icon images intermittent visibility

If I use the admin panel the icons disappear but if I leave the site alone overnight the first showing will show the icons, then once I start working on the site, bang, the icons are just red X's??

Yep, that is weird..

Try clearing the /cache (except for .htaccess) and /public_cache directories and go back into it and see what happens.

Ok,

Issue is with D7 as there are no problems with images in Safari so it must be Explorere 7 that doesn't like D7 icons.  Does this make sense...

I'm having the same problem. Since most people use IE, there's got to be a fix for this!

Fixed. Had to turn off the caching in the template settings.
