Idiotic statement about "purchasing contact information"

Could someone put in a ticket to get rid of that idiotic statement on confirms that we will "sell" their contact information.  It understandibly freaks people out.  I had someone who has built these sites ask me about it.  One of 10 million things you have to fix to get this software to work in the real world.

I think they're talking about spammers and how their money would be wasted, but I'm not sure of that (it's badly worded). I hope they're not talking about actually selling profile information, because that's a big no-no.

No, they really are talking about selling email addresses - remember, that is a function in the membership settings.   I guarantee you, this freaks people out.  Please submit a ticket when you get the chance so other people don't have to deal with this crap.

i agree this should not be there .. it can really freak people ..who wants their personal info to be sold :-)

I can confirm that the language key was updated in the last release to remove that text.

Then it must not have made it into the updates, because it is on my 7.07 sites.
