Is there a formal name in coding for when you fill out a form and depending on your responses additional questions pop in?

For example: A profile question -- Do you smoke?  --- Yes --- No

If you click the bubble "yes" then a new question pops in just below the Do you smoke question

Do you Smoke - Yes or No

If you click yes

How often? _______(Text Box to type answer)

Then a followup -- can dolphin do this now? ---- if not are there any mods that could do this in the profile section of a profile?

You are referring to dependent questions.  There are some modules in the market to help adding them to forms.

It may sound like a good idea, but some questions can be intrusive and encourage your members to leave.

It's best to ask everything in a single question and give the member an opportunity to answer with one selection:

Do you smoke:

No
Sometines

Socially

Regularly

Heavily

Chain Smoker

That pretty much covers everything the other members will want to know.
