I receive message "Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."

How to fix?

 I would speak to your host, as this is a server issue.  you could also make sure you have all permissions set correct as this can sometimes cause this issue.

Your php error reporting is off maybe or some file/folder permission problem.

See if you can access this www.yoursite.com/administration/host_tools.php 

An .htacess file that contains errors or misformed entries can cause an Internal Server Error.

Are you using a dedicated server from Hostgator or Shared Hosting? Either way, I would contact them as both are managed.

Is this on a shared hosting service? That could possible be the issue because of certain limitations. Better to verify this with them. 

 You've replied to a post that is over two years old.  There's a good chance he may have figured it out in the 28 months that has passed.
