 Hi, i activated the Messenger through the module menu...but couldn't find any button on the page later where i could start the messenger. Was looking for "My Presence" or something similar but didn't find it. The Chat for example is working perfectly. Regard |
When viewing a member's profile, clicking their avatar for information, or when using the simple messenger (this is as far as I go on outlining areas), there will be a link for video messaging. This is the instant messenger, which includes text, audio and video chatting. I don't know why BoonEx named it as a video messenger, as it confuses some people. I believe the user (the users who you are trying to send a message to) needs to have the correct privacy settings setup as well. If they have it set to a specific group (say friends) and you are not their friend, they you wont see the button on their profile. If they have it set to public, then anyone can see the button and see the Simple Instant Message box and the Video message icon.
I'm no D7 pro, but I found this out while playing with the software as two different users. Hope this helps. Regards, |
