Invite friends from Facebook, MySpace etc

Hey all,

Is there a way to invite friends from other social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn?

Does anyone know of/can recommend a decent mod/extension that would do this?

Thanks, checking it out. I can't see any option for Twitter and the Facebook doesn't appear to fetch contacts, it just shares a link (posts to your Facebook profile) - Please advise if I am mistaken.

I have purchased the inviter module from AndrewP as it has some great recommendations.

My site can grow very quickly if members can invite their relevant LinkedIn contacts but it doesn't seem to be working?

Has anyone else got this module or a successful way of importing LinkedIn connections?

Any help will be much appreciated!

I have the same module but most of it barely works, it's not Andrew P's fault though as it uses another system like OpenInviter or something. The service from them is appauling and very poorly maintained. There are no other decent alternatives in the form of modules from the Boonex Marketplace that I am aware of either.

You can try that if you like, but considering facebook has eliminated the feature it uses, it is not likely to work anymore.

Facebook is also doing away with api posting to friends walls.

Inviting is a abused feature, many social networking sites are removing those kinds of features from their API's. It wouldn't surprise me at all if sometime within the next year not a single major social networking site will allow it. My prediction for the future.
