Is hosting the best way to do this?

I have a few technical issues which I cant get round and I'm thinking "do I host D7?"

What do you reckon?

Hosting your Dolphin on one of the Hosting providers listed on the site

Well, to be honest, I don't have the time to manage a server ot the money for bandwidth, so I prefer to have my Dolphin hosted instead. I wouldn't suggest hosting dolphin yourself, like from a server located in your home for sure. You would never have enough bandwidth to supply to your members.

Take a look at some of the hosting offered here at Unity and read some of the reviews. If you see what you like, then by all means sign up. If you have the time, knowledge, and money to maintain your own "dedicated" server, then do that as well. Either way I would suggest having it hosted somehwere.

Just my opinion.

Cheers Chris, that is my opinion too. Too many problems and its causing me headaches too. I have a hosting package now but it doesnt support Boonex. I have installed it but it's not working. What I need is auto-installerCool

Installing it is not the hard part, its making sure that your host gives you all the requirements needed for Dolphin to run properly :).. And your welcome.

I am looking to use hostforweb.com

I use host for web for all my personal sites & developments, finding above average support and the servers are set up to run dolphin from the start.  However, you need to look at what your target market is because not all hosts will host all types of sites.

Thanks mydatery.

I wil give them ago. Their prices are ok and I can start off with the basic package and increase to better package as my site takes off. I like the fact that I pay month by month and there are no long term contracts

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
